Hannah was born with a neurological condition called cerebellar hypoplasia. The cerebellum did not fully develop, which largely controls motor functioning. Her balance and coordination is impacted. She needs assistance with many daily tasks. Luckily, CH is a condition that does not worsen over time and she is NOT in any pain.
Hannah spent her first 3 years in foster and rescue care without a furever home due largely to her special needs and the amount of care she needs in daily living. On her 3rd birthday, we applied to adopt her after following her story for a month only to realize we were the family she needed to step up. Hannah came to her furever home in November 2019. She continues to amaze us everyday and is the happiest girl ever. She may not be able to greet us at the door, but her whole body wiggles with excitement to see us come home. She may have to be carried up and down stairs, outside to the restroom, etc but she moves independently if something motivates her with scoots, lunges, crawls, and adorably clumsy steps/falls.
She has a wheelchair she uses outside on adventures, and enjoys wobbly walking and crawling on her own (see: independent and stubborn). She LOVES tail wagon rides with mamas through the neighborhood:) She has made a best friend in fur-brother Coda, they are inseparable. Hannah is happy and loved to pieces ️ She works SO hard everyday, and even goes to hydrotherapy every week. There is no having a bad day with Hannah in your company. She has personality for days and a big smile. #happylikeHannah is our motto
Hannah loves getting dressed up daily to go on her adventures. Bandanas, hoodies, collars, tags, you name it! We started Hannah’s Hankies to help spread some bandana joy to other pups, and to help support Hannah’s therapy and mobility needs! All proceeds go back to supporting Hannah and giving her the amazing life she deserves with all her needs met.
